OK, this set it not really from Mars, but this one features a fictional character from Mars, Marvin the Martian. For some reason when I watched him on TV, I seemed to focus on his shoes. I read that he was only in a handful of episodes. Anyway, wouldn't this be a pretty cool way to serve some beer, or whatever other drink you may prefer (iced tea, lemonade, water, juice, etc.)?

I'm a watch guy. I like to know what time it is. I wear one every day. I normally wear something like the one shown (i.e. a sports watch). I also have a dress watch. I came across the solar watch type recently and became intrigued. I am very tempted to give this style watch a try, here are just a couple bullets in its favor:

Spring Gardening Gifts for Men

Well it's still on the chilly side here (at least the last couple days), but we have started some spring gardening work. Many folks in the area work on their lawns a bit to cut back on the weeds and try to maximize on the greenness.

Our Scotts Spreader does get some use in terms of getting out the fertilizer and grass seed we spread. It's a definite help in this task. I also found this winter that it was a good height to hold my bag of rock salt so I didn't have to carry or bend over to reload the cup I was using to spread that on the driveway.

I think owning at least one good bottle opener is essential for any home barware collection and/or the beer drinker. I collected bottle openers for a few years. I sort of stopped because the collection seemed to get bigger than the drawer I had allocated for this kind of stuff. Someone suggested I sell some of the collection, to free up some room and allow me to look for some new ones. I actually liked this idea but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Entertainment on the Go

Yesterday, I had to take my car in for service and inspection. Where I take it is just far enough away, and the time it was going to take was just short enough, that I decided to wait for the service to be done.

So, I decided to take along the iPod Touch I received as a gift recently and relax and watch a movie:

I have to say the time went by very quickly, and I got to enjoy a movie I otherwise probably wouldn't have had the time to watch around the house. I could have also easily switched over to some of the music or games we have saved on the iPod and enjoyed those as well.

The Weather Outside

We had a great weekend weatherwise, and even though I have enjoyed the winter and all the snow sports associated with it, I have to admit it was kind of nice.
